Nursery News 11/10/19

What a busy week we have had. We went for a walk around the ‘big school’ to have a look at the different areas including our first visit to the library. After the half term we will be visiting the school library once a week and the children will be bringing home a book to share with you. Please ensure that the book is returned each week so they can take out a new one during our visit.

We didn’t manage our visit to Forest School this week so we have postponed it until next week. We will be going  on an Autumn hunt, looking for signs of Autumn. We are trying to build up the natural resources in our outdoor area so would love donations of pine cones and conkers if you are out enjoying the great outdoors this week.

Please practise putting on shoes and coats at home with your child. We really want to make the children independent and to encourage them to try and put them on without help. Reinforcing this at home would be greatly appreciated.

It was Black History week at school and the children all enjoyed listening to and re-enacting the story of Handa’s Surprise.

One final note, if you bring your child an after school snack please could you wait until you are off school premises before giving it to them. Apart from the possible risk to children with allergies, it can be quite upsetting to those children that haven’t been given the same snack. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

Have a wonderful  weekend and we look forward to seeing you all on Monday
