This week has been assessment week which has taken a lot of time but still have accomplished so much.
In English we have started our ‘take one book’. We have read the story Leon and the Place between. A magic book. Safe to say the children absolutely loved it and as a consequence have produced some fantastic persuasive and story writing. We kicked it off by changing the classroom into a circus. The children really got into character and experienced different activities and the feelings and atmospheres that are within a circus.
In Maths we have continued with decimals and will do so next week. We had two tests this week, Mental Arithmetic and a reasoning paper. The children should be really proud of their scores.
In Topic this week, we have continued learning our dance for the Topic Sharing Day next week which you are all welcome to. We have also looked at Anglo-Saxon villages and homes where the children drew their own villages and labelled and explained each section.
In RE this week, we have been learning our lines for the Easter service and will continue to do so this week. Most of the children have learnt all their lines in one night which is fantastic news. We now need to add the drama.
Next week we are really busy again:
Monday we have our school trip
Tuesday afternoon is the Topic Sharing Day
Wednesday will be our dress rehearsal
Thursday is the talent show
Friday the children will do the Easter Service and then leave school at 1:30.
