Happy New Year to you all and once again I would like to thank you for your kind gifts given at Christmas.
The children have come back from the holidays raring to go. English: We have been writing about what made our Christmas so special. We have been focusing on Capital letters and full-stops and really pushing ourselves to write more at length.
Maths: We have been writing numbers to 100 and counting to and from 100. We have been measuring and weighing items focusing on specific vocabulary such as longer, shorter, taller, heavier, lighter.
Topic: We have learnt that we will be learning about the Great Fire of London. We have talked about London and how it is England’s capital city.
R.E: We have started our new topic ‘Special People’. We have drawn and talked about who our special person is and why they are special.
I have sent home the curriculum information and the homework grid for you to look at. Thank you to all those that have paid for the Drama workshop next Tuesday. It is always great fun and the children learn so much about the Great Fire of London from it.
Have a lovely weekend.
