St. Joseph’s Magical Music Evening

A huge well done to all the boys and girls who performed so brilliantly in our Summer Concert at the Church Hall yesterday.  It was truly marvellous to see and hear the results of their hard work and practice over the year.

The choir sang beautifully – it has almost doubled in size since the competition and is improving weekly under the guidance of Mrs. Skelton.  Special thanks must go to Mrs. Skelton for all her hard work in preparing the choir for their performances throughout this year.  There will be another opportunity to hear the choir sing in the end of year mass so don’t miss them.

We had a variety of performances from instrumental students, including two ex-students of St. Joseph’s and our clarinet teacher Miss Ward who were kind enough to play in our concert also.  I was so proud of how all the boys and girls performed – it is a big thing to  stand up and play in front of so many people.  Hopefully they have inspired many children in year 3 to wish to learn next year.  More details about how to apply for instrumental lessons will coming soon.

Thanks finally to so many of you for coming to watch.  We will look forward to our next concert.  Keep up the practice everyone – it is the best way to improve.
