Apologies that class news is on the website a day late but I was so busy having fun at the Year 4 sleepover that I had no time to type!
Year 3 have had a lovely week, this week. We thoroughly enjoyed the history workshop from Hertford Museum on Tuesday. The children learnt a great deal about World War II and had the chance to handle some fascinating artefacts. Their behaviour was excellent and they demonstrated great interest throughout.
After the workshop, the children had the chance to try on some different clothing from World War II.
We spent some of this week preparing for our Class Mass. The children created flowers and banners to decorate the classroom and worked hard to practise their readings. The day of the Mass couldn’t have gone better – their behaviour was excellent, they read beautifully and their singing was lovely, not to mention how smart they all looked. After the Mass, we all enjoyed a fantastic picnic on the field. Thank you so much to the school kitchen for providing our lunch served so nicely on platters and to all the parents who sent or brought in food to add to the picnic. It was a lovely gathering for the children. Thank you to everyone who was able to come to the Mass and to those who were able to stay on and join the picnic. And a big thank you to everyone who helped to serve and to clear up afterwards – it was greatly appreciated!
The children had a wonderful day and it was a lovely finish to their First Communion celebrations.
Back to normal work next week, Year 3…apart from Sports Day and the Art Exhibition!
