In English this week we have started our new topic, play scripts. We have had so much fun with this already. I can’t wait to for next week! We started off by looking at different play scripts and guessing what it was and then found the features. We then went to an amazing tea party with Alice, a Dormouse, a Mad Hatter and March Hare. What could this be? Yes, a magical world…. Alice in Wonderland. All the children wrote amazing diary entries in the shoes of Alice.
In Maths we have looked at distributive law and how to apply this with multiplication. Amazing teamwork this week!
In Topic, we have written in the shoes of Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay. Who were they? They were the first people to reach the top of Mount Everest in 29th May 1953. The children wrote some fantastic pieces of work!
In science this week, we have continued to learn about solids, liquids and gases. We had a variety of activities looking at different ways to identify the different states.
This week was international week and we have celebrated today by sharing some facts, singing and languages. We had some great fun doing some salsa dancing and food tasting.
