This week got off to an exciting start, with our class trip into the big city – London. In the Musuem of London we were treated to a range of galleries but we were particularly interested in the middle ages of Britain. We really learned a lot about how the people got on and survived back then.
The excitement carried on until through Tuesday as we took part in our annual STEM day. In year 5 we created pulp and are recycling it into real, usable paper. There will be a display that you can feast your eyes on next time you’re in school.
In English this week we extended our speech writing so the children really understood the features of reporting but also the historical event of March 1381 in Smithfield Market. Please ask your child about this for more information.
With only three weeks to go before Easter, we are going to continue to work hard in Year 5 and really show off all the amazing things we’ve learnt and to keep moving onwards towards Summer term.
