As you know, Physical Education is an intergral part of the National Curriculm and all children are timetabled to take part in two designated PE lessons per week.
Indeed, at St. Joseph’s Catholic Primary School, we pride ourselves on our PE provision with two highly qualified specialist coaches (Miss Gunn and Mr Godfrey) teaching all classes, and dedicated teachers who are passionate about delivering engaging PE lessons, along with a whole host of extra-curricular PE activities/after school clubs.
In order to take part in all of these lessons/opportunities fully, it is vitally important that children have the correct kit as outlined in the School Uniform information provided.
Many thanks to the vast majority of parents who ensure that their children have the appropriate kit and can enjoy/benefit from these lessons/sessions which are so important for both their physical health and mental well-being. However, there are still a number of children who do not have appropriate PE kit on occasion and cannot therefore take part in their PE lessons.
This is not the fault of those children concerned and any parents whose child(ren) do not have approporiatePE kit will be notified/contacted and invited to discuss this matter further.
Thank you for your continued support as we strive to provide the best possible life chances for our children.
